Key points:

  • Detached properties have increased by nearly £68,000 since onset of pandemic, while average flat prices up £24,000
According to the report, UK house prices are now at their highest level since 2004 and are now 21% higher than before the pandemic started in 2020. Unsurprisingly dethatched homes have seen significant increases as the new way of hybrid working from home and the office has bedded in.

Interestingly, Nationwide predict a slow down in the months ahead due to inflationary pressures on household incomes.
